Zack is a filmmaker, documentarian, and visual artist based in Highland Park, Los Angeles. His work spans a diverse range of analog techniques, including stop motion, miniature-scale models, puppetry, and other practical visual effects. He tells stories that braid primordial, sylvan imagery with modern iconography; often exploring the degradation of architecture, the fragility of the human and animal anatomy, and the passage of time. He cites Bruce Nauman, Jan Švankmajer, the Brothers Quay, and Ray Harryhausen among his influences.
His work has been featured by Vimeo Staff Picks, Stereogum, The Hammer Museum, Director’s Notes, Film Shortage, and the Austin Music Video Festival.
